Felton's Desert Dingo Racing team took third place in Class 11 of the Valley Off-Road Racing Association's Fallon 250, which was held Friday through Sunday. The Desert Dingo team ran its No. 1107 Volkswagen and completed the six laps of the 41-mile course despite injuries, a rainstorm, a stuck throttle, an oil leak and the temporary removal of the steering wheel mid-race.

The Desert Dingo Racing team won the Stock Bug Class at last weekend’s X-treme Outlaws 250 desert run in Reno. The Felton-based team won its second race in a row after taking its class in the Yerington 300 in May.

Reno, Nevada — The Valley Off Road Racing Association (VORRA) announced today that it is adding a new class for Stock Volkswagen Beetles for the 2010 race season. The first race of the season will be on Sunday at Prairie City on the weekend of March 20 & 21 at the Prairie City SVRA near Rancho Cordoba and Highway 50. The race typically draws more than 50 teams from all over California, Oregon and Nevada.
